Groundwater Sampling Part 1 | Online
This online course is crafted to provide you with a foundational understanding of groundwater sampling. The course covers the ‘What’, ‘Why’, ‘Who’, ‘Where’, and ‘When’ to conduct effective and accurate groundwater sampling through an engaging blend of webinars, videos, lessons and quizzes. Groundwater Sampling Part 1 is designed to teach you everything you need to know about groundwater sampling before you head into the field. Part 1:
- Has no prerequisites
- Is delivered online
- Offers you flexibility to learn at your own pace, from anywhere you choose
- Consists of three lessons, including a compulsory webinar to start
- Is supported by HydroTerra’s experienced team with fast-turn around times for any questions you may have as you learn
- Will take approx. 4 hours to complete
- Includes an industry-recognised certificate of attainment on completion
Groundwater Sampling Part 2 | Workshop
Building on the knowledge acquired in Part 1, this hands-on, one-day onsite workshop offers an immersive learning experience in the practical aspects of groundwater sampling. Conducted by HydroTerra’s team of experienced field technicians, the vital equipment training will occur in HydroTerra’s Workshop environment, before you head into the field to conduct groundwater sampling and be assessed on your adherence to processes and your ability to obtain reliable and accurate samples. The focus of this training is on grab, passive, and low-flow sampling techniques. Part 2:
- Requires Part 1 to be completed in advance of attending the workshop
- Is delivered in Cheltenham, Victoria
- Enables you to conduct real-world sampling activities under the guidance of experienced technicians
- You will receive immediate feedback and assessment on the day
- Includes an industry-recognised certificate of attainment on completion
